Cylect AI / Legal
Terms of service
Effective October 24, 2026 · Applies to the new Cylect AI platform at map.cylect.io
These terms govern the new Cylect AI platform operated by Cylect in New Mexico, United States. By creating an account or purchasing access, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the privacy policy. They do not automatically change legacy WordPress subscriptions.
1. Account and authority
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and only authorize agents you trust. You must have capacity to enter this agreement and authority to act for any organization you represent. Notify us promptly of suspected account compromise. You remain responsible for activity you authorize, including actions taken by connected agents.
2. Lawful investigations and prohibited use
Use Cylect only for lawful, authorized investigation. Respect privacy, source-site terms, intellectual-property rights and applicable data-protection, surveillance and computer-access laws. A public source or technical ability to retrieve information is not permission to use it for any purpose.
Do not use the service for stalking, harassment, doxxing, threats, discrimination, unauthorized surveillance or access, exploitation of children, credential theft, evasion of security controls, or other unlawful activity. Do not upload stolen or unlawfully obtained records, redistribute the subscriber catalog, share paid access, or circumvent usage limits.
Cylect is not a consumer-reporting agency. Do not use its outputs as consumer reports for credit, employment, housing, insurance or similar eligibility decisions subject to consumer-reporting law. Do not rely on it for emergency response or safety-critical decisions.
3. AI, maps and third-party services
AI outputs are investigative leads, not verified facts, legal advice or guarantees of results. Check sources, dates, identities and context independently. Similar names and approximate city pins do not establish a person’s identity or precise location.
Map feeds can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable or inaccurate. Military aircraft appear only when identifiable public broadcasts are available. Satellite positions may be orbit predictions rather than observations. Traffic and camera coverage depends on the source and does not imply global coverage.
Remote browsing separates the investigation browser from your local browser but does not guarantee anonymity or an absence of records. Third-party websites, APIs, AI providers, payment services and authorized external agents have their own terms and availability. You must have permission to use any personal feed or API credential you supply.
4. Plans, renewal and taxes
All prices are in USD. Personal costs $15 every 30 days or $120 yearly. Professional costs $55 every 30 days or $600 yearly. The $5 Professional day pass is a one-time purchase that expires 24 hours after payment. A 30-day subscription is not a calendar-month subscription.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until canceled. Checkout shows the selected price and applicable taxes before payment. There is no free trial or signup fee. New lifetime access is not offered. Legacy subscriptions and lifetime purchases are not automatically transferred to or expanded to cover the new platform.
Stripe processes checkout. Where enabled, Stripe handles tax and transaction-level services under the payment terms displayed in checkout; the bank-statement descriptor may begin LINK.COM*. Product or account support remains with Cylect. Access begins only after payment is verified or otherwise legitimately granted; delayed payments can remain pending.
5. Usage allowances
Personal includes 20 AI requests and no remote-browser time per rolling 24 hours. Professional includes 60 AI requests and one 30-minute remote-browser session per rolling 24 hours. The day pass includes 20 AI requests and one 30-minute remote-browser session during its access period.
A browser launch reserves the full 30 minutes even if you end it early. Accepted AI requests consume allowance. Limits are rolling windows, not midnight resets. Paid catalog access and connected tools remain subject to account permissions, plan limits and abuse controls; there is no unlimited AI or browser entitlement.
6. Cancellation, changes and refunds
Cancel through Billing in the application. Cancellation stops renewal and revokes paid access immediately, including remaining paid time; it is not a cancellation that preserves access until period end. Review the confirmation before canceling. Contact support if you cannot access billing controls.
Personal-to-Professional upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades and billing-interval changes take effect at renewal. Payment details and invoices are managed through the linked payment service; subscription changes and cancellation are managed inside Cylect.
Cancellation does not automatically issue a refund. For duplicate charges, billing errors, service failures or other refund requests, contact support@cylect.io; applicable payment-service processes may also apply. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory refund, withdrawal, charge-dispute or other consumer rights. We do not impose a blanket no-refund rule.
7. Content and intellectual property
You retain your rights in information and findings you contribute. You grant Cylect the permission necessary to host, process, transmit and display that information to deliver the service, including processing through the providers and agents described in the privacy policy. You must have the rights and lawful authority required for that processing.
Cylect retains rights in its software, branding and proprietary subscriber catalog. Your subscription provides authorized use, not ownership or permission to republish the catalog. Third-party source material remains subject to its owners’ rights. AI output may not be unique or copyrightable; we do not claim ownership of your investigation merely because you used the analyst, nor guarantee rights in third-party material.
8. Suspension, availability and data
We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security risks, failed payment or legal requirements, with notice where reasonable and required by law. The service is provided subject to maintenance, provider availability and reasonable security controls, not a promise of continuous access or guaranteed OSINT results.
Keep independent copies of important findings. Canceling paid access does not delete all account or investigation information. Deletion and other privacy requests are handled under the privacy policy, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. Material changes to pricing or these terms will be notified as required by law; a published update does not override mandatory rights or silently rewrite legacy agreements.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. We do not guarantee accuracy, anonymity, completeness, suitability or successful investigation outcomes.
To the extent permitted by law, Cylect is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, lost profits or lost data, and its aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid Cylect for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for your unlawful use and content. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Cylect against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, your violation of these terms or infringement by content you supply, but not for Cylect’s own wrongdoing.
10. Governing law and disputes
New Mexico law governs these terms, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections. Contact support@cylect.io first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Competent courts determine jurisdiction under applicable law; nothing here restricts a mandatory right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
The legacy site’s arbitration clause is not incorporated into this new-platform agreement. These terms do not impose a new mandatory arbitration agreement or class-action waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
